I tried this in the bolt action rifle section with no help...maybe wrong section...my bad...
But I have an M700 SPS Tac 16.5"in .308....I will not be using a can,I don't want a brake, but the existing thread protector does nothing to protect the crown...so I either need an extended protector or a flash suppressor... I can see a flash suppressor being beneficial at dusk and dawn when shooting at game during dawn and dusk...it seems the vortex and the black-out are the most effective ones out there...
I see the vortex comes in a short and a long model, the longer one has a deeper thread counterbore bad will thread on the muzzle and tighten up flush without using timing washers to take up some of the space...the shorter model only has a counterbore of .62 I think and would require timing washers...but,the long model is 3"s long and I would rather not use one that long...
Does anyone know which models from ACC will fit the SPS without using washers...it would need to be>.73 " deep...
Thanks in advance...!
