Didn't realize you are in my AO. I'm in Fuquay..

Parents live about 40 miles inland from Wilmington..Pressure is dropping, but just breezy and rain here..

Let us know what the wind hold is @ 50kts full value...
The day before the LRSR in Romona OK this year the wind was blowing 40mph and gusting to 48mph. After sighting in I was shooting at a 900 yd target holding 8.5 mils of wind and getting hits. That is far and away the highest wind I've ever shot in. Too bad it didn't count!

A few years ago shot in the Texas state long range championship in FTR soon as we started a front came through and when the rain stopped we resumed in the mud. Wind was about 15-25 and I was able to make 2nd place waiting on the lulls, fun times!

I wouldn't be too surprised if Virginia's biggest stories come in the next few days as the system ambles up the Appalachian spine and create some flooding issues in the foothills.
On the plus side, she may shove some much needed moisture into New England.

Yes, we had a squirrel piss on a transformer last night, so we lost power for 45 minutes... New Bern is getting it bad with the Trent and Neuse Rivers.. parts of that town had 10’ of water, and more is to come!! Need to keep those folks in our prayers...

The first time I shot at 1000yd (previously Cherry Ridge, NJ 300yd max) was in Raton, there was a squall moving in. I finally started getting hits by literally holding center bull on the adjacent target. Very unsettling for a newbie.

I’m trying like hell to not watch the news, but it’s playing here in the briefing room. There’s a meteorologist dude talking about a tornado that touched down. It’s pretty clear he really really wants this tornado to happen!

Anybody got a readers digest on it now? Is Florence breaking apart?
