Florence Report from Raleigh

Not to say that this wasn't and is a MFer for some folks, but it never ceases to amaze me how the News Media and authorities blow things out of proportion. and who predicts weather other than Fools and Foreigners?
I understand how they want people to pay attention and move as needed, but if I evacuate, something better have gone down and you return to a looted home or something along that order,--- or people pay little to no attention to the next time the "Boy cries Wolf," and I have seen it happen more than once, and it wasn't good.
My prayers go out to those people who got flooded but I have little sympathy for those people who built their houses out on the sand on the beach and are now washed out.
It is not like this hasn't happened before so they should have known what to expect.
Much like people here in Colorado who build next to a river or in a slide area and scream like mashed cats when Mother Nature shows them the error of their ways and my insurance goes up. Fukm.
I own land along a river here but would never consider building there. Just use it for fishin and be happy. Grandpa pointed that out years ago and I listened. FM

I still remember and use stuff my grandad taught me.
He’s been in Heaven with grandma for 13 years next month and there arent many days his wisdom doesnt help.

I too feel for those who got hosed, flooded out. Hope our members here doing ok and all works out quick once dried up.

Holler if you need anything boys.

What the fuck? 3 and a half million chickens? I wonder if they were insured...

Chicken growers rarely if ever own the birds they raise, they're all owned by the big companies like Tyson etc. And yes, they undoubtedly are insured.
My barns made it thru ok, I guess they can withstand 70mph gusts after all. Here in southcentral NC we got 20.5" off rain in about 48hrs. Bridges are washed out and alot of roads closed.
Went and helped a Vietnam vet clean out his house today in Cheraw SC, water level in there was 24" up the walls. Sad to watch them lose everything they had kept from their past...

It’s bad man.. I can’t even get home to help.. check out I-40 in Duplin County.. like this for about 5 miles..
