Here are some dates for other
upcoming events.
(NOTE, round count and rules on some of these will be posted at a later date)
7/30/11 Precision long range sniper match
In this event shooter will engage targets out to 850 yards shooting from various posititions and
ranges. All stations will have a time limit and any shots after the time will inccur a penality of 10 seconds. The round count will be approx. 50 rifle and 24 handgun.
8/6/11-- Benchrest match, shooters will engage IBS targets for score at 100 and 200 yards. IBS rules will apply to this. note this will not be a sanctioned match as I want to work out the kinks before I do a fully sanctioned IBS match.
8/20/11-- Tactical multi-gun, in this event the shooters will be utilizing three different weapons, carbine, shot gun and handgun. round count will be posted at a later date
9/10/11--600 yard Benchrest match, This will be our first sanctioned IBS matchs. All score and information will be sent into IBS for official records, all rifles , rest and other shooting apparitus will need have to meet IBS rules and regulations.
10/23/11--2nd annual 3 day tactical sniper match.- This event will be much like last year but with a tactical type scenario thrown in, all stations will have a time limit and some will not be just a, "get in a basic shooting positon' and shoot but will have to figure out which position will best for completeing the shot successfully. Much like we had in our Boggy Creek/LEO fund raiser event . Some more challenging shots including some night shooting on friday night. The basic schedule has also changed as follows, friday 10/23--final registration will be at 7:00pm, shooters will need to be there for the safety briefing, meeting of the range officials and then when the sun sets we will start engaging steel targets from 300 yards and closer,( night vision equip. will not be needed or allowed) all targets will be visible either by a lumenesent paint or a small amount of incadisent light . The final round count will be posted at a later date. Registration will be available on the BSF web-page there is a minimum of 20 shooters required and a max of 30. Registration will be required no later than 9/31/11.
11/19/11-- IBS sanctioned 100, 200 and 300 yard match. All IBS rules and regulations will apply to all IBS members/shooters that wish to have their scores recorded by IBS.
12/3/11-- Tactical carbine/handgun. In this event we will be using semi-auto carbines and handguns. Round count will be posted at a later date with more details.
12/17/11-- Sniper/spotter sniper match. In this event there will be a designated spotter and sniper. The sniper will be required to make the longer shots but in situations required by the different stations the spotter will be required to make the shot. The spotter will also be engaging targets with a carbine at shorter a distance, both spotter and sniper will engage targets with their handguns. at the end of the course they will be required to make a tactical retreat after retrieving a simulated " wounded comrade"
