Ok im ordering a MCS-T stock from manners. Ill have a Harris pivot bipod up front so i will get a standard stud up front. My question is, this will be a hunting rifle, so where should i have him put my flush cups? I know alot of guys put them on the side, but with the sling on i would think this would interfere with shooting. Especially on the forend where your holding the rifle. I will rarely have the sling off. I want to make sure they will work with the bipod up front.

Re: Flush cup location?

For hunting it will be great to have the side mounted flush cups, front and rear. You can use as is or modify a VCAS with QD swivels and it will carry great, cross slung or at ready in front if access is needed a bit faster. A good benefit is also in the stand, have you sling adjusted so you can shoot it and doubles to keep it on your body, secured.

Concerning using it for a hasty sling, just increase grip up front to mitigate twisting since it will be on the side.

Yes this rifle will be shouldered quite a bit. So im going to tell Manners 1 standard bipod stud up front and a flush cup left front and flush cup left rear. I dont think i would have a need for flush cups on the right side or bottom.

Re: Flush cup location?

Flush cup on the right front will aid in using the sling while shooting. Move the front qd from the left to the right and it should give you a better hold on the weapon while standing or sitting while utilizing the sling.
