FN Patrol Boat Rifle XP

Re: FN Patrol Boat Rifle XP

I bought one of the PBR barreled actions when CDNN had them cheap (they may still) and dropped it in one of the $100 Hogues. Was an excellent shooter (MOA and better) with pretty much every load I tried. Excellent, handy little rifle.

Re: FN Patrol Boat Rifle XP

The rifles may not be the same, but the actions of the SPR and PBR are the same with the SPR being a bit better in fit and finish.

Nothing wrong with them; they shoot very well for a factory rifle and the barrel on the PBR is not chrome lined - a bonus.

I, too, bought a PBR barreled action in .308, and had Moon bed it into an A3 with pad. GAP's bedding job was truly first-rate: they really know and have excperience with the FN action.

Re: FN Patrol Boat Rifle XP

I wondered why I could never get my rifle to fit inside my patrol bolt.

Re: FN Patrol Boat Rifle XP

Thats kind of a high price though. I know a place that has a 20" and a 24" pbr xp .308's for $800 shipped. IM me amd I will point you in the right direction.I think the 20" is black and the 24" is green. Both have detatchable mags and 20 moa near mfg scope bases.

Re: FN Patrol Boat Rifle XP

CDNN was at $522 shipped for a barreled action. Not bad, considering it has trigger, bottom metal, and a Near pic rail base included. If you call, ask for Ken.
