Are there any other FN SPR A3g owners here who would be inclined to share their ballistic info with a noob?

Even for the factory FGM 168g? I don't own a chronograph.

Re: FN SPR A3g Owners?

Or put another way, does anyone know how or where I can find the ballistic data for Federal Gold Match 168g in a 24 inch barrel, 1 in 12 twist, Right hand?

I know people use some type of software or online site, but I am kinda on my own rifle-wise.

Re: FN SPR A3g Owners?

It is going to depend on way too many factors to give you a precise answer. You're probably at ~2650fps with the FGMM168.

My A3G seems handle stiff charges without signs of pressure. It absolutely indicates pressure by cratering the primers, although it craters them a little at ANY charge.

Thank you, Turbo54. I am still trying to get my data-book worked out. I am not sure what was scarier, the optic or the Storm Tactical data book!

Do you have a recommendation on where I can take that 2650 data and extrapolate it for different ranges?

Greyson

Certainly run a pair of identical ladders at a range of at least 300 yards. Have bullets on the lands. Find peak pressure. Find nodes. Alter seating depth.
