FN spr Action?

Starting a build for a .260 Remington. I've been running a .300 WM for a while, and would like to go to a few more competitions locally without so much recoil etc. May use this for some open country hunting also. Will be treated with respect, but definitely a "working tool" and not a "safe queen".

I can get a FN spr action, 20 MOA base, bottom metal & mag for about the same cost as a Remington action & trigger, no base, no bottom metal.

What say you? What factors need considered in this decision?
Stock choice? Accessibility to more magazines? Accessory options?

Thanks for the links. Everybody who posted there seemed pretty happy with that choice. I was just curious if there is a downside to this that I haven't seen yet.

BTW, that's some impressive shooting BVEAL.

The only down side is the lack of availabilty on aftermarket upgrades.

CDI adressed this with their dbm for the AI mags.But finding a good deal on a used Mcmillan stock can be a PITA!

Besides that it's a fine platform!

go with what you feel comfortable with.

Both are good actions. I use rem 700's and win mod 70's in 308 quite often.

I am stuck on the 3 position safety. so have Gentrys on the rem's
