A SH member posted photos from the Shot Show, and I noticed an interesting new model: FNAR Compeition. This includes an adjustable cheek piece.

It almost looks like in its continued development it is getting back closer to where it started, the Browning BAR sporting rifle. I guess some things do come full circle.

Re: FNAR Competition, new model

A more vertical pistol grip would be welcome. A laminated stock should be strong enough to build such shapes without breakage being a problem. I did not see this model on the FNH USA website.

Actually I like the blue, maybe Henry Ford was wrong all along?

Tengo1,
Was the barrel about as heavy as the FNAR-H? Learn anything about it what at the shot show?

It is available with a black composite stock.

The guys from Cali will be glad I'm sure. They have the weirdest rules but I believe they can have a semi with removable mag if it does not have a pistol grip. The only thing that I don't like is that you have to clean them from the muzzle like a M1a. My paranoid self always afraid of damaging something with a cleaning rod.

I know there's muzzle(crown) protectors out there for rodding from muzzle end. Or you can buy an Otis cleaner, kinda like a stiff zipper that you can feed from the breech end.

Was thinking the same thing.
