FNH FN15 Carbine

So i have been lurking and learning so much from this sight-- had no idea there was so much to know regarding equipment/bullets/scopes etc.. This is a great place to learn. I thank everyone thats been helpful for that. That being said, i just purchased my first AR style rifle- the FNH FN15 carbine-

After doing a ton of research on getting an upper entry level AR, i went there to buy the Colt but the guys at rifle gear talked me into this one. I know its new to the market place, just curious what everyones thoughts were. I'm excited about the purchase and i was happy it was 300 dollars cheaper than the colt. Thoughts?

No different in quality than the FN I was issued. I've hoped for a while they would get in to the civilian market. Makes me want to sell my BCM a4 rifle for one of these.

Just watched a shot show 2014 video.........Button chrome lined barrels......wtf are they thinking when they are the largest producer of hammer forged chrome lined barrels??!!?!?!

Its an FN, should be fine. Stop worrying and go out and shoot the hell out of it. Congrats on the purchase.

There are ALOT of barrels on the market.

The general consensus in chrome lined barrels as far as "best" are hammer forged ones. There are only 2 producers of those barrels that I know of in the USA one is Daniel Defense and the other is FN. FN makes the hammer forged chrome lined barrels for MANY AR companys such as Spikes and PSA.

Regardless of this your rifle is produced by FN and shouldn't give you any issues. They are a solid company with an amazing track record.
