Can anyone tell me the difference between the two? I own a FNP-9 and was curious if this was just a renaming to conjur up more interest or whether improvement were actually made.

From what I saw when I was comparing them at SHOT the X has more slots in the pic rail for more mounting options where the P only has the one groove, The X has tru Ambi mag release, slide stop, & decocker, and the X has a manual safety option unlike the P... That is all I can remember off the top of my head, I got sucked in by the new FNP-45 Tactical right after I was looking them over.
Quite a few nice upgrades on the X over the P.

I thought about buying the FNP9M but I'm going to wait for the FNX instead.
FNX looks like what the USP should have been, but wasn't.
