been reading alot about the new 1.X-8 power scopes and the general reply is it's hard to get a true 1X scope. so maybe its the lack of sleep or maybe the cold medicine, but would it be feaseable to do something like a 2-8 power magnifier and pair it with an EOTech? if you wanted true 1.0 magnification flip it out of the way, if you need more magnification just flip it back and crank on the mag ring.

extremely familiar with the 3X magnifier as I own one, what i was asking is if the magnifier instead of being a FIXED 3X was a VARIABLE 2-8 or whatever

Might be a market for that. Although many seem to just mount up a scope and then get the 45 degree mount and have it on the side for a fast tilt.
