Rifle Scopes For a Savage? - rings and bases

I was given a set of Leupold turn in rings and bases. Buddy thought they were for a 700, but one of the bases has the screw holes side by side versus fwd and backwards.

What are these for?

pics? not familiar with that style. is it a windage adjustment or a locking mechanism? just a guess without pics.

the screw holes im talking about are the mounting points on the rifle itself.

Browning XBolt, is my guess

At least for the rear base.

the front one holes are to close for a 700.

do you have an x bolt?

I'm thinking Winchester 94 or the like.
