What height rings do I need? Set up is 455 Varmint DIP extended base and Vortex Viper 4-16X50 figured if I can't sell it I'll use it. Thanks

Depends on the manufacturer, but I would guess mediums. Check the manufacturers website for exact measurements.

i used medium mk4 on mine

used high rings with a 56mm, i'd concur that mediums should be fine with 50mm

Seekins high were just barely tall enough with my MK4 4.5-15X50

On my CZ-452 target with a DIP base and SS 10x42 I needed to use standard height rings, they are .823" tall. For a 50, you might want a set of high rings.
