Complete disagreement with this assessment. You are attributing far to much skill and capability to this Starting the the title of the post.
The mans name is not Jay Bishop. its Arron “Jay” Danielson. Jay Bishop is another person that is an Alt Right activist from the Portland area. He has had clashes with Antifa in Portland before. It is possible that the shooter thought that Jay Danielson WAS Jay Bishop and thats why he shot him.
I am not discounting that this was a hit on a specific person that the Shooter had identified earlier in the evening, however I categorically disagree with the assessment presented in this piece, that there was this level of coordination and tradecraft involved in the incident.
The Camera man.
To begin the Camera man is a known live streamer that steams almost every night. He was streaming long before the incident happened and was pushed into that area by the crowds. He was not part of the crew that did this. He was not alone, there were other live streamers at the same location filming. They tend to stay in groups following the crowds to get the best action on camera. Any one of those streamers could have been the designated camera man in your scenario. There is nothing odd or indicative of coordination in this specific camera mans behavior or actions on film.
He is not doing anything out of the ordinary while he is filming this specific place and time. He is always talking to his audience who are watching his stream live and commenting in a chat room that he is watching on his phone while he films. Just like all the other streamers are doing.
You suggest that he is somehow signaling to others when he mentions his “eyes” and that whole exchange. The victim in this shooting was carrying a large can of Bear spray. When the shooter fired his first shot went through the can and cause all of the contents to mist at once and spread over the entire area blown by the winds in the street. He was not the only live streamer reporting that the spray was in his eyes and causing breathing problems. There is no way that could have been contrived as a signal, it was a legitimate response to the pepper spray in the air.
The cars.
I find it interesting that you fail to identify the actual car that is in question and point the finger at two vehicles that were present AFTER the event.
There is nothing to indicate those vehicles were anything more than people that were present, witnessed the event and stopped to assist. Your so called “Command and Control” Jeep does speed through the light and stops on the other side of the intersection. What happens however is that the victims party and the shooters are both crossing the street in front of them at this moment. There is another video that shows this. They are direct witnesses to the shooting, stop and pull into render aid. As does the Black Charger that revved the engine. This is just a few blocks from the sight of the protests and cars driving by revving loud engines is something that they have been doing the entire time. Its generally looked at as threatening by the protestors because they see it as an indication that the car is going to charge into their crowd. I am not discounting the idea that these cars are full of protestors or Antifa types, in fact thats more than likely. The area is just a few blocks from the protests so it stands to reason that a lot of the travel in that area is protestors. There is just nothing to indicate that they are involved in this, what you ID as signals happens all the time and would be impossible to distinguish as a signal of any type in this environment.
What you did not indicate is that there is a vehicle that likely is the lookout for this shooting. Its the RED Charger that is behind the victim in this camera view. That vehicle was seen earlier in the evening, likely followed the victims group and communicated to the shooter. That same Red Charger was seen this weekend at another protest.
The shooter.
The shooter is no doubt with at least one other individual. He was seen the prior evening at the mob attack on the Mayors condo. He was no doubt connected to Antifa and had assistance in this attack. It is far more likely that this assistance did not extend beyond the men in the RED Charger and the additional person walking with him on the street. These individuals likely know one another and were able to communicate quickly to select the victim and attack him. Its far more likely that the men in the Red Charger followed the victim, either on foot or in their car and pointed him out to the shooter who made an attack of opportunity. Its possible that the shooter was then picked up around the block by that same vehicle. Regardless those individuals need to be found and brought in for questioning to determine their roll in the incident.
The Lookouts.
There is nothing to indicate that anyone else provided lookout for this incident. Antifa has always used people traveling on scooters or bikes as scouts however there are also plenty of random individuals who travel on those same rental scooters and bikes in these cities. Their presence is not indicative of activity in and of itself, although one would expect to see them where incidents were happening.
I do not discount that this was more than just a single shooter taking a pop shot at a Patriot Prayer member, however I do believe that you have inflated the number of individuals involved and presented what is a small group of attackers that made an opportunity attack as a large coordinated and planned operation. That does not fit the evidence, nor does it fit the situation on the ground. The level of coordination to achieve this kind of reaction to a fast changing situation would be far higher than the protestors have demonstrated. The Trump supporters had broken up only a short time before this and the participants scattered in multiple directions to leave that demonstration. At the SAME time this was going on Joey Gibson the leader of Patriot Prayer (and a more high value target) was being followed and confronted by a crowd of protestors. That escalated into a very large crowd of protestors and Streamers that eventually attacked him and forced his group to take refuge in a closed Gas Station and await the police coming in force to extract him. HE would have been the focus of any coordination and efforts to single out a right winger and attack them had they the capability to do that. All of the eyes for an Antifa C&C element would have been tasked with identifying and locating Gibson and moving to intercept him. They would not have been focusing on a random member of the crowd tracking him down and shooting him."
