I am about to form 1 a Lower to make it a SBR I have been reading that the ATF isn't allowing mulit for the caliber any more, Is this true? I want to have a short .556 and a 300 blackout. I know to put the minimum barrel length that I would ever use, but am unsure about what to put for cal on this one.
Thanks,
Adam

Unless its a permanent change you don't need to list. I would always tell my customers use the caliber that the rifle will most likely go to sleep in. For example my 5.56 is on the rifle 90% of the time, but I also have an upper for 22LR & 300BLK that I switch from time to time. Hence on my Form 1 it states 5.56

here is some good information if filling out with a trust

Just put whatever caliber and barrel length you will initially use. After that you can run whatever caliber or barrel length you want. They only request to be notified of permanent changes, and that is just a request not a law. As far as an AR goes there really is no such thing as a permanent change since it is so modular.
