Suppressors Form 1 suppressor illustration question.

Re: Form 1 suppressor illustration question.

silencertalk.com has a wealth of knowledge on this. I don't believe drawings are required, just serial #, caliber and length.

Re: Form 1 suppressor illustration question.

I've called niki dudash and will shipman and neither say a blue print or drawing is needed
None of my 5 form 1 has ever neded it

Re: Form 1 suppressor illustration question.

Nothing in the instructions for a Form 1 says anything about attaching drawings. How would one know a requirement if said requirement is specifically omitted from the instructions? If it were a requirement every form 1 submitted without drawings would be rejected........and we'd have heard about that long before now.

Re: Form 1 suppressor illustration question.

section 4a. states: Name and location of Original Manufacture of Firearm(receiver) (If prototype, furnish plans and specifications). My bad,I thought this would also include a suppressor design.

Never Mind

Honestly though none of the folks that I know personally, that have Form 1 suppressors, sent any drawings.

Re: Form 1 suppressor illustration question.

Do not include a drawing of your silencer along with your form 1.

A silencer that you are making for personal use is not a prototype. The only information you need to submit is the serial number, model number and for some examiners, the overall length. I have yet to have an application kicked back for not putting something other than N/A in the length block, but I include a length now. I just make sure the finished product is equal to or less than the length on the form.
