JAPAN! out of korea
Anyone know one would go about getting a form 4 from overseas for SBR or can? I would like to go back to that states with a High Caliber mk18 replica along with my mk12 replica waiting for me when I get there. At least get the mk12 suppressed everyone tells me its a different rifle. I've never done a form 4 for anything and would rather not mess it up and have to keep resubmitting it, and i know there are people on here that have more cans than i have rifles.

Edit: I am in Japan currently under orders, and would like to get it hopefully by january. Thanks.

Re: Form 4 from overseas

Where is your home of record? Wife/Brother or parent that could start the form 4? Are you ETS' after this tour? OR do you know your next duty station yet?
Need a bit more information, I don't see why it could not be done.
Thank you for your service to our great Country.
WE would be happy to help any way we can.
Sincerely:

Home of record is Idaho, I could get a relative to start it.
I don't know next duty station. I am trying to get a Idaho drivers license as when I first joined they were not allowing military extension on them, now they are.

Thanks again.

Re: Form 4 from overseas

Do you already have a trust? A Class 3 dealer to receive your goods?

I have done a number of form 4's from overseas and mailed directly to the NFA. Assuming your back end paperwork is fine (trust), the receiving dealer would generate and sign the form 4 copies once the form 3 transfer is complete from High Caliber. They would then mail it to you or give it to a relative to mail to you, you sign your copies and mail everything (form 4's, copy of trust, check for $200, citizenship form if it is your first time) to the NFA.

Other than the extra postal transit time, no big deal. It is good to have a class 3 dealer that will work with you. Mine has sat on my approved stuff for 6 months before waiting for me to come home on leave and pick it up.

If you are doing a CLEO sign off, I have no idea though. I have a trust.
