Suppressors Form 5330

I sold a buddy one of my cans and did the form for 4 him, but I think I forgot the 5330. ATF isn't answering the phone right now and I wanted some opinions on what I should do. Any body been here before?

Do you mean the 5330.20? If the transfer is to a trust, it is not required to the best of my knowledge. If its to an individual, then he needs it. They will send a letter after xx months and ask that you correct the error. In that case, wait. Or ???

Purchasing with a trust, I have gotten approved form 4's with sending in a 533.20 and approved form 4's without sending it with the form 4. With one, I figured it couldn't hurt, then my form 4 without a 5330.20 was a test-the-system that worked. If I recall correctly, its been a while though, it's not required.

There are two ways to go about this:
1. Wait for it to go to problem status in 6+ months and send it then. Will be approved shortly after receiving said form.

2. Once the Form 4 goes pending and you have the examiner name call and speak to the examiner and see if you can send the form in ASAP and get it put into the packet. Some examiners will do this, others will say wait for problem status because they dont generally have the packet in front of them and dont want to go searching for it.

Not saying that it's right or wrong, but I have never sent a 5330.20 in with any form 1's or form 4's done on my trust. I have not had an issue, yet.

The 5330.20 is to Certify Citizenship for ownership of a Class III weapon.
Since the Trust in Wfjames22's case. He would not need one.
If your doing it in your name then yes. But check with your examiner to see what they want.
