Forster Bullet puller question

Re: Forster Bullet puller question

You buy different size collets to pull different size bullets with it.

If you are looking for press-mounted bullet pullers, I strongly recommend the Hornady Cam-Lock bullet puller. Very fast and easy to use, and works fine on the co-ax to boot. Adjust it once, lock it down, and then just flip the lever to grip/release the bullet.

Re: Forster Bullet puller question

I use the Forster bullet puller in .308. It works pretty well but does have to be tightened down on each bullet fairly tight...fine if you don't have a lot of rounds to pull. I would recommend staying away from kinetic (hammer-shaped) pullers...just messier to deal with the powder that way.

Thanks for the info, the Hornady sounds like a good choice.

Re: Forster Bullet puller question

The Forster "Super Fast" pullers are very good and faster than any other but, like any other, you do have to get them for the bullet diameter you expect use. I prefer them over anyone's collet type pullers.

Most (if not all?) of the comments above are about the collet types, not the Super Fast you are asking about.

Re: Forster Bullet puller question

The collet type pullers fit more bullet diameters than the superfast pullers do.

The superfast bullet grip is not adjustable, and some have reported they mark the bullets more than properly adjusted collet type pullers do. Whether it is enough to affect accuracy of the pulled bullet is not known.

Do they still make the superfast?
