I'm getting my .223 and my .243 both Ackleyed, so I'll be needing some AI dies in both calibers.
I know Forster does some types of custom reaming, but I'm wondering if they can change the dies I have now to the AI chambering?
Maybe even cut them to the specs of a piece of brass fired in my gun?
Sure would be nice to not have to buy new dies, and get mine cut to match my chambers too.

Thanks!

Re: Forster custom die work?

Probably not. They can hone out a neck for a custom bullet fit within reason, but the dies are hardened after cutting the sizing die chambers...they would have to be annealed and then recut then rehardened...probably way out of sight costs. Bye the bye, before you do the Ackly stuff...really examine what slight benefits you'll get, both cost wise and velocity wise. Run the numbers.(rechambering fees, new dies, fireforming brass...what improvements will you get?...some case life improvement if you don't lose some cases in forming, about 6% max velocity gain.) JMHO
