I've been slowely working on my load tests for my savage 10fcp-k .308 with the varget and lapua brass shooting the 175 smk's.

43.8gr
2.790" depth

4 shot group at 300 yds.
I shorted myself a bit on the rounds and with the sighters and foulers I only ended up with 4 rounds for the group.

Not bad. I dare say you could bring that verticle down even more.

At 300 yards its easily possible to have a 5 shot group give you near to zero verticle dispersion, but it depends on the shooters ability and also relative proximity to a node... you pretty much need to be smack bang in the middle of it.

If you have access to a chrony and set it up properly it can tell you if your in a node by having consistent MV and low SD/ES, so removes any shooter error and tells you if your load is good to go.

Looks like a good group tho buddy

Yes your right. I wish I had a chrono to check those out. I do not do any bullet or brass sorting at this time so that might help some.
