What’s the prefered installation (securing them) method? I noticed some for sale were drilled. Is this for later extraction?

Do people usually glue them? Rubber cement? Silicone?

I was thinking a strip of friction or duct tape…?

I used silicone. Easy to remove later if need be.

Many are drilled and tapped.
And yes, that is to aid in later extraction (if desired), by threading a small bolt into it for getting a better (tool)purchase on it.

I second River City Rifle. Best design out there for the foundation. They even have brass buttstock weights as well.

Balances right at 3.5 inches in front of the mag well.
