man you've got the M1A fever!!!

2nd and 3rd down would be exactly how I'd configure them...sell one and pickup some gen 3 NVD monocular with a monoloc and you're covered, lol

I suffer from M14 fever and I would love some gen 3 NVD

#2 from the top is my long range M21A5 EBR. It's built on a heel stamped Poly Tech receiver with a medium heavy Crazy Horse barrel. The stock is a rare 1 of 11 1st generation Mod 1 from SAGE and the scope is a Leupold MK4 with illuminated TMR.

#4 from the top is my stripped down, light weight MK14 SEI with a rare chrome lined 18.0" M118LR barrel. I extended the sight radius by a full two inches by using the non-DC Vortex flash eliminator, but I rely on the Micro T-1 for most shots.

M14 with Magpul AFG ? not too heavy to maneuver ?
how does it work for you with the mag so close ?

1. All four wear the AFG from Magpul. I had to modify them to fit my SAGE stocks
2. Not too heavy... the bottom one is very light for a modernized M14.
3. The mag and my knuckles clear the AFG with room to spare - no problems.
