Been looking at a new set of hand glass for deer and elk hunting. I also will use the new glass for tactical shoots as well.
I really like what I see in the Vortex Viper R/T 10x50's except that even for a 10 power, their FOV seems very small.
Has anyone used these in any great capacity that can give me some input on what they think of them in regards to FOV?
I am also aware of the 8x28's, but for lowlight hunting I dont like going under a 4X1 ratio of objective to ocular lens. Now if someone has used the 8x28's and they have miracle coatings that work wonders at dawn and dusk, please let me know.
Im leaning towards the Vortex Talons more and more, but I really dont want to give up the ranging reticle.
Thanks guys.
