Suppressors fps with barrel length vs suppressor

would a 24" barrel without a can give a similar muzzle velocity to, let's say, a 20" barrel with a can on it? or are the two mostly or entirely unrelated?

The most I've seen gained with a can is 20fps. That is the most, not an absolute. Some are zero gained. Unrelated.
