Not surprised. As stupid as the ATF is, IDK how anyone thought you could just skirt SBR laws with nothing but a name an engraving change.
Its pretty obvious FA tried to pull a fast one by trying to logic their way into ".45/410 antithesis okay = EVERYTHING antithesis okay" and then getting pp slapped for it. I'm all for sticking it to the NFA whenever possible, but at least put some effort into it lol...

Could be just Easy Win FA trying to stay relevant in advertisement, as a Company, and also in topic of 2A infringement activism . Do a few prototype AR's .. Write up and submit ATF proposal . Don't actually even make a production Run of Ammo intended for the AR model . and do a few Social Media releases of the product ' intended ' to release AR for retail sales.Psych!!

That’s an interesting take on it. And while I don’t necessarily disagree with you, FA did send letters to all those that had purchased the .223 barreled versions and asked them to voluntarily return them (smirk, chuckle, snicker). I’m mean really! How many people do you think bought the .45/410 versions?
