Where are you going homes?
Some place warm, a place where the beer flows like wine, where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I’m talking about a little place called New Hampshire.

Shooting for a place just north of Nashua

No shit, I'm in Portsmouth. But I have to say, even in one of the more populated areas of this state, I can't say that beautiful women are abundant here. Don't get me wrong, I've seen some head turners for sure, but they are often very very young, like girl in the video above young. It's all UNH chicks and shit. Not very warm either. But we do have the best license plates in the country for sure

He ain't picky. If you hold it he'll fuck it. :ROFLMAO:

mcameron, if you do end up near Nashua, before you waste your time, let me advise you against joining the range there, unless you are already a member. You will save yourself a whole lotta aggravation by not going there

Yeah, and then you have to live with yourself the next morning. Just remember Roy Munson puking in the toilet with "the sound of silence" playing in the background

Yeah, I've had so many of those deals in the past. A waterfront property on the Chesapeake Bay for $120,000 back in the late 80's. Now it's worth somewhere north of $750,000.

Then you get the deals that are too good to be true. 15 acres in the West Virginia hills. House w/3 bedrooms, would have needed about $50k worth of work to make it nice according to my friend who knew the owner. All this for $30,000 just last year. Had my checkbook in hand, pulled up to the property and the owner told me not to even look at it. Seemed that squatters moved in and destroyed the house. I looked at it anyway. It was destroyed. Since this was going to be a hunting cabin/vacation home, I knew the squatters/drug users/who knows who, would be back if I were to rebuild. The owner offered it to me for $10k and I refused. Being 4 hours away and only using it maybe 5-10 weeks out of the year, it wasn't worth the headaches.

Huh this was timely....just came in my email.

Superintendent's Newsletter

News from April 2018

Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members,

Arlington Public Schools strives "...to educate students by promoting academic excellence, by empowering students to achieve their maximum potential, and by preparing students for responsible participation in an ever-changing world." The district is "...committed to helping every student achieve emotional, social, vocational, and academic success." APS must continually review curriculum and associated activities to be certain that we are doing all we can to fulfill this mission. If we uncover areas where this is not the case, steps must be taken to make the necessary improvements.

Many of you are aware that the district undertook a review of Colonial Day, an observance that has taken place at some, but not all, of our elementary schools for many years. It is not a formal part of the Social Studies curriculum. The events are largely parent-driven, and over time, they have become important to many individuals in the community. Many others, however, have been expressing concerns, particularly about the expectation that students dress in colonial attire. Questions have arisen as to whether this supports our vision of creating an environment in which all students feel honored and welcomed. Over this year, I have reported on the work we have been doing to improve our district's cultural competency, and we felt the need to consider the expectation for colonial costumes within this context. Dressing up as colonists emphasizes a single perspective that was not shared by everyone present at that time in history. Our third-grade teachers will be updating the curriculum over the summer with the goal of ensuring that their instruction of colonial times is comprehensive and representative of all cultures.

To gather as many perspectives as possible, we asked parent representatives from all our elementary schools to gather input from their communities and share the feedback at a forum. We solicited feedback from teachers and principals during the process. The emphasis of the evaluation was to examine how Colonial Day activities fit into the Social Studies curriculum and whether it aligns with our goal of becoming a culturally competent district. The expectation of students dressing in colonial attire to accentuate their experience was part of the discussion. After considering all the input, the administration decided that this expectation will no longer be required. Colonial Day has not been canceled, but this summer's update of the third grade Social Studies curriculum will include further evaluation of the event and more changes may be expected. Our overall goal is to ensure that all perspectives are considered when we teach history. Thank you to all community members and district staff who participated in the discussion of this issue.

The Communists tried to cancel Colonial Day last year but the parents pushed back and it happened. Looks like they dont take no for an answer. So much for "settled law" in this community.

Keep in mind Arlington is Menotomy and the site of the bloodiest battles April 19, 1775.

Superintendent Bodie,

I am sorry you seem to feel some sort of shame or embarrassment by the study and celebration of our Colonial past or perhaps you are oversensitive to the possibility others may not understand the concept of Colonial Day as they are coming from different cultures. Fact is that Colonial Day is a fun time for the children that is intended to let them experience nothing more than what it meant to be a young boy or girl living in a young country.

Sure there were customs of that time that are now rightly viewed as abominable in our modern perspective but this is teaching history not wishing that it could be as we wish it to be. Hiding history is juvenile and promotes ignorance.

To those newly arrived to our country and that you fear may be offended by our traditions I ask is that being "diverse". If I were in another cultures home nation I would want to participate in their tradition, not expect them to act otherwise to avoid making me uncomfortable. Isn't it being "closed to diversity" if you assume others don't want to experience our history or unwilling to accept and study their new cultures past?

Just teach, don't indoctrinate.

Sincerley,

You're being too polite and civil. Somewhere in there you should have thrown in a few "scumbags" and "eat a fat dick".

Much too civil. I do it too when I write. I have learned being direct usually causes me problems. I am generally not a welcome fixture at school meetings anymore as I generally speak my mind to the fullest degree possible.

AND NFA is allowed

My wife and I are looking at a piece of land north of Concord. We have some friends that live in penacook, NH. We plan to build a little cabin as a getaway and mostly so I can have all the goodies I can't have in RI.

RI is a fucked up little state. So far we have managed to avoid the repressive laws of MA. We can get an LTC easy enough, have no restrictions on magazines or AR weapons (so far) but no NFA allowed. Even those laws are a little fucked up

In RI there is no NFA allowed. However, if you really peer down into the laws, you find that the state AG can grant an exception to an individual, trust or corporation for a license to own a machine gun. However, it is written into the RI general law that under NO circumstances can an individual, corporation or trust own a suppressor in the state of RI. No exceptions of any kind are allowed. That is a big motivator for my place in NH. I plan on getting a type 7 FFL with SOT so that I can experiment with suppressor technology. I have always wanted to build one since I have some ideas that I have never seen put into practice. I hold a couple or three patents in the field of fluid dynamics.

I thought that I could get by the NFA laws in RI with a manufacturer's license and SOT but no-go.....fuckers.

When pissed off, I write the letter that I want to write (in word, not e-mail, just in case...). Take a little time to do something else and come back to re-read it. I then discard it and write another. That has kept me from telling some folks things that I wanted to say, but shouldn't, many times. YMMV.

I agree. I do that in business a lot with respect to email as you really need to watch what you say and remain professional.

My problem is more face to face stuff. I am always amazed when I go to school board meetings. I don't dress for success so to speak. I wear overalls or jeans as I have enough wearing the business casual stuff during work. Even in today's world, many academicians consider you a bumpkin based on your manner of dress. I HATE that. They also consider you uneducated...I HATE that even more. Therefore, I have no problem with speaking very eloquently with authority on the subject at hand. If they make an error and take a condescending tone....bad Nik emerges. It can get very bad as I speaker rather matter of factly because facts FUCKING matter

Dat me... I HATE condescending people. Even if I agree with them. I go from nice guy to asshole in .3 seconds.

“You want to play asshole?”

Be prepared, I’ve been trained by the best......
