I don't think I have ever seen one for sale, and I spend quite a bit of time on gun sites looking for rifles. It is essentially a Mas though, so I can't imagine it would be impossible to make one out of a standard Mas.

Even if there are, from times to times some FR-F1 for selling, here in France most are Mas36 rebarelled, so be carefull on that point.
Most of real Fr-F1 have been used by French Army until the were almost worn out. FR-F2 (FR-F1 in .308 with thermal barrel disipator) are very hard but not impossible to find out.

FR-F1 was designed to hit an Helmet @300m and a man on his knees @600m in conscript marksman hands (12 months of duty, 3 weeks of training course).

Also the MAS36/49 is interesting are there any good ones floating around in France? </div></div>

Well, it seem that a real FR-F1 (including the APX & mount) cost about 1600-2000€ when a clone based on a Mas36 action + Apx + mount can be found for 1200-1500€
