My friend got robbed in a large grocery store here in jersey. No video survillence in the isles only at the registers. She lost over 500 in cash which is all she had to her name and all her documents ss,dl,bank card, etc she was comming to me to deposit the money in my bank but decided to buy some coffee and cake for me.She was crying so hard I was pissed that they could not run the tape the police was called and nothing happened. The officer and I searched the parking lot and dumpsters but nothing turned up.I expressed to the manager a few people must have been robbed like that because it takes balls to rob someone while they bend down to grab a can of coffee and snatch a wallet from a purse. She had cupons in her purse so it was open. She said she only turned away for a few seconds to read the price tags.

Re: friend pickpocketed in grocery store

Im always amazed at how retarded women can be while grocery shopping... always leaving their purses sitting in plain sight while they leave their cart and wander down the aisle!!!

Sux for her... But I bet she doesn't do it again!

Re: friend pickpocketed in grocery store

I would never carry my SS card. This type of shit really burns my ass. I am so sick of people who seem to think it is OK for them to take something that someone else has busted their ass for.

Re: friend pickpocketed in grocery store

That's why I don't carry cash on me anymore. I haven't carried cash in the past 7 years. Go ahead and steal my credit card. I still have recourse with my CC company. I have disputed fraudulent charges in the past and my CC company has taken care of me every time.

Re: friend pickpocketed in grocery store

Can't believe someone would keep a SS card in their wallet. I like to keep canceled cards in my wallet so if it is lost or stolen the cards they use will not work so they will assume it has already been reported and not try any more

</div></div> Don't use an expired card. You want to have any cards that you may have replaced or no longer have an account. You want something with a good date on it. Keep those up on top and the first ones that would be pulled from your wallet. I have a couple bank cards that the strip had just started to have problems with and they issued new cards. Those are on the top.

Re: friend pickpocketed in grocery store

Memorize your SS and lock it up. As for cash, with any real amount say over $100, I keep it on me in a secured location. Hidden pocket or something.

Too bad we have to live like this because of the lowlife's in this world. But it is what it is and we need to prepare for it.

Well my wife must be the exception to that rule. She carries her wallet in her back pocket....although she sometimes takes a purse she still carries a bilfold like a man. Though she is also a Sgt in the Marines.
