I have a DMRII and find it to be great but a bit bulky for a comp/hunting crossover scope.
The LRTSi looks like it would suit me better, is it worth selling off the DMRII to buy a LRTSi?
I never shoot on 21x, usually more like 15x.

Weight of any scope that you carry while hunting is a personal choice. I would also stay with the DMRII because it offers just a little more than the LRTSi offers and there may come a day the added features of the DMRII might be needed.

If you are also hunting with it, I would consider the LRHS series instead. I believe the extra ring around the center in the G2H reticle is worth it for hunting as you can actually find your reticle while on low power.

I got sent a Dmrii instead of the lrtsi because they didn’t have another in stock to send me. So I’ve had both in the same week.

Other than the technical differences 18 vs 21 etc I have a hard time saying what one might have over the other. Both had good glass, turrets felt fine. The lrtsi is a bit skinnier and longer and the dmr more thicker and stouter. I wouldn’t switch just because you’ll find it’s pretty darn similar. They were close enough I sent the dmr back just to avoid having to change mounts.

I use my DMR I for hunting. I dont ever notice that its large or heavy. The again its on a 14 pound rifle and i carry it miles while hunting but im not lugging through the mountains after elk or over the frozen tundra for raindeer. If I were I am sure id switch to something much smaller and lighter, most likely grab my Featherweight with a 2.5-10. Hell, I dont know why im not doing that...

I’ve had the 3-12 lrhs and 4.5-18 lrts. I liked the reticle better in the lrhs but always felt like I wanted more magnification so I sold it. Can’t go wrong with either one IMO, just depends on your preferences.
