I am looking into the Sinclair Gen II Rest what are ya'll guy's opinions of it? Should I spring the extra cash for the windage top option for about 100 more?
I have one and I like it. There are better, but cost a lot more. Definitely get the windage top. I don't know why they even sell them without the windage top. If you're going to shoot f class, make sure you get the feet. I still haven't decided 100% if I like shooting F Open so I might be selling mine and going back to F T/R. How soon are you looking at getting one?
Windage top depends on your shooting style. I'm a "rear bag squeezer", so have little need for a windage top, I just adjust the rear bag for windage.
I get no "commission" and have no financial interest in this, but my buddy Bob builds probably the best benchrest/F-class front pedestal rest around, along with F-class feet: http://www.viperbench-rest.com/
I use the same one jbell posted above, works great. I use it for testing, 600 & 1000 yard bench rest matches. I may add a windage top later, but for now I'm just shooting.

If your groups shrink down enough to warrant it you can always get an after-market top later on and they easily attatch with a 1/4x20 screw to the pedestal.
