Well I've been hitting y'all pretty hard with videos here this week so this will be the last one for a few days don't want them to start getting boring. But this one was pretty fun!

1. Keep the videos coming, please haha.

2. That 6.8 hammers those things, haven't seen a whole lot about hunting them with 6.8 but I've taken a couple whitetail with it myself.

3. What suppressor are you running?

I tried several bullets for the 6.8 started with the 110gr pro hunters since the 165gr version is what I used in my .308 with great success, they were accurate but every hog took multiple hits almost sold the 6.8 because of them. Then I tried the monolith barnes 95gr ttsx they were good but expensive. Finally I found the hornady 120ge SST they hit like the hammer of thor.

The suppressor is a gemtech hvt .308 thread on. I should be getting my yhm titanium can soon. Also have a few silencerco cans coming shortly, I got to hunt with them and test the saker 7.62 and harvester to make a video for shot show it was a pretty cool experience for me.

I need to try those SST's. Luckily the hogs aren't bad at all here in North Alabama so I haven't had the opportunity to really give it a shot. I'm sure it won't be long before they move in though.

They are great for hogs and coyotes. Wounds like these are not uncommon.

Their is no chance that I am going to get bored any time soon. I have learned a lot from your videos, I love watching how much you lead, and how you track from one hog to the next, and how fast the action is. If you ever string together a hour long dvd with a analysis of your hits and misses I'll be a customer.

Pretty good shooting there, Tex! I too am learning from the leads you use, and might be leaning toward the 6.8 pretty soon. What length barrel is your 6.8?

16" barrel really no need to go longer, from what I understand you only gain about 50 fps per each additional inch with the 6.8 there is virtually no recoil. I am thinking of getting a light ar10 like the DPMS recon G2 because I have tons of .308 ammo, and because well I like new toys.

I have a GAP-10 18" 308 with switchblock that is a heavy beast but very accurate, a 16" AR 223, and an SBR 300 blackout that I have a good Hornady 125gr SST load for that runs about 2000 FPS if memory serves.

Which would be the best for hogs in your experienced opinion?

I would say the .308 followed by the blackout. A .223 will kill them but there is less room for error they can be extremely tough beast at times.
