I think surprise believed it was an AXSA because of the m-lok handguard, which is actually an aftermarket one from Michael Victor. OP said it was an AX, which is what it appears to be. But I don't want to speak for him. Just trying to be helpful.

You are correct. I was thinking ASXR. My bad.

I figured it was a short action based on the cut on the ejection, bolt handle side of the mag well.
