Anyone have or fired a fully auto .22? I'm thinking I want to add such an ammo eater to my armory, but have no experience or first hand knowledge about such a beast. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Re: Full auto .22

FA 10/22s jam a lot, you have to run mildly expensive ammo that burns clean, and you have to keep the rifle lubed up while shooting it.

The American180 is a great little .22, seen it perform flawlessly quite a bit.

A friend of mine has a FA 1919 .22 tabletop miniature and while I have never seen his shoot, the videos I've seen of them have been pretty good on reliability.

Someone is now making .22 MP5 clones that use all the HK parts, you could get a registered HK trigger pack which would also allow you to put it into any roller-locking HK you own so you'd be able to rationalize buying an MP5, HK53, HK51, HK91, and HK93 and more :p

There is a few full auto ones out there...

From my little experience with F/A, it seems like an M16 lower or HK sear is definitely the way to go, gives you so many more options than just buying one gun, although you pay a pretty penny for that. Whats an HK sear go for now, $12k?

New FAL 22 conversion kits available (see market place forum on falfiles.com) will trip the auto sear.

I've shot one of the American 180s and it is a *TON* of fun

Re: Full auto .22

I have a Ciener M-16 kit. I use it in my Colt M-16 car 10"Bbl.
With Wal-Mart bulk ammo...It runs real good, with CCI min-mags...dont miss a bet! Jams only when real dirty.
I also use it in with my LMT M-4 (14.5"Bbl.)set up, with a SWD drop in auto sear. Runs just as well, as the pin in sear!
I use a Awc can, it help cycle in the 10" Bbl.

I also have some Bill Fleming kit's for the Mac's and HK MP-5.
They jam alot. The brass, can fall in 2 the lower pack on the HK's
NOT GOOD KITS!!

I have one of the newer UZI kits.....It runs well, with most ammo. likes the hot stuff....also use the Awc can.

If it were me, I would stick to the Ciener kit. He stands behind his stuff! He is a good guy, little diffrent, but, a good guy! and he can alway be found @ KNOB CREEK! He will help you get your kit running, if you bring it to the shoot. I have seen him do it, for a few!

Hope this helps!
