Uhhh.... No. Sorry, but I don't believe a Rockchucker has enough stroke for 50 BMG either. I'd look into a Redding Ultramag if I needed to load for a 50. It's the only one I can think of off-hand that can do the job, and I like Redding products. Never used one of their presses however, just the Forster.

Re: Full length sizing the 50 BMG

When I had a .50 I loaded on the RCBS Ammomaster. The LEE at that time got great reviews. You need a special press made for .50 BMG and be prepared to spend some cash on the RCBS. Fortunately now there are a lot more specialized tools for .50. When I was loading there wasn't a lot out there. Many days I regret it. I especially miss being able to load for $.30 a round!

Re: Full length sizing the 50 BMG

The redding ultra mag doesn't have a long enough stroke to seat bmg bullets
the only ones out there that can handle the bmg are the

lee (best bang for your buck)
rcbs & hornady (both very similar)
dillon (newest on the scene)
corbin & walnut tree (both similar style and made by a pair of brothers)
hollywood (only turret)
old western (used to have one)

might have missed one

your going to have to get a dedicated press for the bmg
most tools for the bmg dont cross over into the sub calibers very well

Re: Full length sizing the 50 BMG

i dont think either press does 50 bmg ?

+1

i use the RCBS , its alright , i broke it once reloading once fired junk , but it was replaced for free , pretty fast no questions asked

the lee uses different dies , only two presses i know use that thread pitch ( but i forgot the name of the other press , some cheap European model i think)

i wouldnt get the lee unless your going to limit yourself to lee dies

i think hornady make the best dies , unless you want Ch4d , which are also excellent

it really depends on your wallet and how much loading you expect to do , and components , that once fired machine gun brass takes allot of effort to resize, expand , deprime ,allot.

working with virgin magtech is the way to go , at least to me , I never tried that primed win brass , it might be good ?

you are correct
i forgot about that one

tenx makes one also now that i think about it

Re: Full length sizing the 50 BMG

I have the Lee it works fine...it's also well made and tuff like most Lee components. It comes with an adapter that allows you to reload most any other caliber too ( might not matter to you).Only other one I have seen first hand is the RCBS, also a good press but much more expensive.
