So I was 'today' years old when I learned that one of the cameramen at the Altamont Music Festival (Rolling Stones 'Gimme Shelter') was none other than George Lucas...

I was watching the credits after re-watching the film and under "Cameramen" was George Lucas. Yup... it was him!

He filmed the helicopter exit towards the end of the concert... apparently his camera jammed after just 100 feet of film.

But he was there... front and center...

Wow... What a way to be a 26-year-old aspiring filmmaker and watch that bit of history from behind a camera!

You don't want to move here then.

I had to go cut a tree off a water gap down in Medicine Creek Canyon.
Got down there to find it overgrown in marijuana taller than my head and thicker than Husky hair.
Stomped out a spot and got the tree cut up and fence fixed

Some cows showed up to watch me work so at least I beat them there.

But packing chainsaw and fencing tools back up out of that steep walled bitch it had warmed up to 90° with 90% humidity and zero breeze.

My heart for a lack of a better description started to "hurt"

Brain says let's stop and take 5 and see where we're at. Ok, took off again and had to stop once more for that thing.
Made it up to the Ranger and back home. Done for the day except to go after a load of fuel

Don't know if it's getting hotter here (doubt it)
Or I'm just turning into more of a pussy after I hit 65. But I'm not too happy about it.
Well youngster  :ROFLMAO: Its just the way it is. You gain energy until about 30 then it slowly rolls down hill from there. Heat never bothered me, but that damn humidity is a beast. I can see getting winded, but if your heart 'hurt' get it checked out.

I used to be up at 0500 to have the truck in the mountains by 0700 then load rock all day, get home, about 1700, take a shower, eat, and party til midnight, be up and do it again the next morning, did that 7 days a week for awhile.

Now, at 75, I painted the house for about 4 hours today and that was enough. I could have pushed it to all day but tomorrow I wouldnt be worth a shit. Played it smart and went to the range and had some enjoyment. Pissed off the range master when I knocked 3 of his steel hanging targets off the hooks.

And that marijuana you found? Its really likely hemp. Good for rope but you could smoke a truck load and the only thing you'd get is a splitting head ache.

I am tired of the threat from hot plastic, I got down my 2 vintage stainless percolators and spent an hour cleaning them spotless.

Tomorrow, we drink COFFEE the way Jesus intended 😎

Where I grew up sometimes it would get so quiet you could hear the trees grow. Not exactly 'hear' them, but more feel the energy. I didnt really know it until I spent some time at night in the desert where there are no, or few, plants. After awhile I noticed there was something missing...the sound, or energy, of the living plants growing. Absolute silence can be disturbing for awhile.
