As everybody says, “It’s the prep.”
That stuff is Ethyline Glycol. If you put it in a dish for the neighbor’s cat, you’ be considered inhumane. A hippy wouldn’t use it for a “purge”.
As the old comedian said recently, when they said, “See you in 5 years.”, he replied, “The fuck you will…”

ERRRTCH! WRONG!
It is PROPYLENE glycol.
Ethylene glycol will kill you just like a dog.
They also prescribe magnesium citrate for prep.
There are several, some nastier than others, but none of them are Ethylene glycol.

I didn’t realize that the Kennedy car was rebuilt and used all the way into the Carter administration…. How creepy was that for Johnson, Nixon, Ford and Carter who were still riding in it???

Sirhr
Did not know that about the Kennedy car. They should have just retired/memorialized it. Yes, creepy that other Presidents had to use it.

Not creepy at all. It was on purpose....think about it.
Creepy for the next guy that wanted to mess with the CIA and the FEDReserve.

I'm guessing they did it as a reminder of what happens when you fuck with the deep state.

So much truth here! Too many of the “Classics” either bored me to tears or depressed me a lot. Tracy Hickman, James H. Schmitts, Louis L’Amour, Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler, and others kept my love of reading alive

^^^This! Hidden in plain sight inHarry Potter were the histories of WW2, King Arthur, socialism, British being gits in general, and endless life lessons like loyalty, friendship and “Who Dares Wins.”

Don’t care what they are reading if it gets them immersed in books!

Except Twilight. Twilight is still ghey!

Reading was so important to me as a kid. I read Watership Down and all of the Chronicles of Narnia in 3rd grade. Where the Red Fern Grows, The Hobbit, Robinson Crusoe and many others followed.

I searched out and bought some nice copies a couple of years ago for my grandson to have when he is older.

Here is a portion of them. Most are excellent condition former library books.

My 10 year old (5th grader) is a 4 time million word reader. He’s reading books that my high school sophomore nephew hasn’t read yet because his reading level isn’t as high lol. We encourage reading as does his school. Kid got up at 6 this morning and read for an hour

Read “Where the Ref Fern Grows” probably a dozen times growing up. Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn, Swiss Family Robinson, Ole Yeller, Savage Sam and others were staples, as well. Around age 10 I found a book written by a marine who served in the 1st Division on Peleliu and Okinawa. After that I devoured books on American wars.

Yep

Does take a good bit of Ethylene glycol to kill a human. Eith the 50/50 premix, woukd be a lot to drink. And a miserable way to go. Will knock out the kidneys first so you can suffer on HD if you dont die.
Have had more than one who tried.
We give em a med called Flumipizol (sp) and emergent dialysis.
They do fine health wise.
Then the trip to the psych hospital.

Been a while since I have done that, but remember it well.

My last pooh chute scope, the prep was a breeze.
Clear liquids after midnight.
Around 1400, took a couple laxatives and then drink some powerade mixed with the Miralax (propylene glycol brand name)
Easy peasy by 2100, no wet farts in my sleep.
Drink a little more the next AM, few farts you knew not to trust, and doc said it was clean as a whistle.
Propofol was great. Out quick and zero hangover effect (hate benzos or any opiate)

I cancelled my appt. Didn't want to, but the prep was (excuse the pun) asinine. Starting diet 5 days in advance, no nuts, no red meat, no this, no that. 2 days in advance, drink the prep juice, shit yer brains out. No food after that. Night before, drink the second dose of prep juice, shit yer brains out. No food. Basically starve you to death for 3 or 4 days ahead of time. No thanks. Will probably find another Doc with better prep.

Doc who probably believes in all the Seattle BS.
Not necessary per my doc, who’s office has 6 busy GI docs and 4 NPsand all use the same prep protocol.

Nurse who called me and emailed instructions did say a lighter diet day before going clear liquids was a wise choice.

So I had green chili all 3 meals that day!!
Wanted some burn to go along with 35 trips to the crapper!!
and plan for an entire package of wet wipes (get the water only kind, the ones with a cleanser in them burn!!)

Have had more than one friend with colon CA. Most recently our shared friend FM.
Worth it to avoid that IMO.

Yep, you're describing the prep thatI'm accustomed to having. I'm going to go back to my old Doc that used the old prep method. It was bad enough.
