Communism and Fascism are both ism’s of genocide.
Now let’s not forget the Islamism genocide of 2-3 million Armenians in ww1 timeframe.
And I dare say the Western Expansionism that led to our injuns being all but exterminated.
My answer to that is that at least Americans and most westerners today “are trying” to do better.
But if communism or fascism or Islamofascism ever took root again, it would be genocide. It’s how those ism’s roll.

Kinda makes me think how the whole Palestinian thing is being written right now. No one wants to go back to 48 and start with the land being given to the zionists and too bad for the people already there.

The land the Zionists (later Israelis) TOOK... was pretty much a shit hole of desert and barran of resources. The weren't given it. They took it. From the British. And in the process killed quite a few British. They had their own revolution... to throw off the British who were there as a protectorate. The British left. The Israeli's declared independence. On every side, they were attacked. Repelled the attackers and in the process TOOK more land. Happened two more times if my history is right. Each time the Israelis thumping the attackers.
Who then changed tactics and went all terrorism. (Another ism).
Yes, Israel was recognized. Some can call that 'given' land. But by the same tactic, one could say that Taiwan should be anihilated. Or Saudi Arabia, which took its land from the Austro-Hungarians. Or any one of a ton of other countries... including ours. Which Took America from the British and Spanish (and paid off the French, proving again that a French Pimp will sell anything to anyone -- Exocets anyone?) Nobody can say America was Given to us. We took it. And took it some more from the folks who were already here (and stuck them in reservations... which today would be called concentration camps..."
Israel became the country it is because once the 'took it' the Jews there (and quite a few Arabs) built it into something. From nothing. Agriculture, arms industry, tech, tourism, resorts. Look up Aaron Aaronsohn sometime.. the agronomist who made the desert bloom.
So Israel was not 'given' the area. The British, in fact, fought them, jailed them and killed them for talking about a state. And deported them. And tried to disarm them. The jews fought back... especially vigorously because the ovens in Germany weren't even cold yet and the survivors and Zionists (Jews who wanted a homeland and separation from other states and security) fought like the third monkey trying to get onto Noah's Ark and it was starting to rain... to steal a phrase.
Oh and the USA was NOT particularly interested in their success. Roosevelt had brought up the issue of a homeland during the Tehran Conference with Ibn Saud. Who said that the allies should give Germany to the Jews... not Palistine. But we needed Germany against the Soviets... and knew it. And we needed oil and friends in the Middle East. So Truman was really not wanting to rock the Palestine boat at all.
The equipment used by Israel was also not 'given' to them. It was purchased, mostly on the black market or surplus market by wealthy jews and donors. Remember, ini 1946, you could buy a tank for $100 and a used Mustang plane for $500. Crates of surplus KAR German Rifles... in bulk... probably 50 cents a rifle. Maybe as little as 10 cents. So the Israeli's went shopping. And snuck all the stuff they needed in. Or brougth it in during the fight for independence. It was NOT the US who funded them. In fact, the US was funding the folks trying to exterminate them and maintain status quo.
So the Jews were handed nothing. They took it. Then they held what they took and did something with it.
And for 75 plus years, the Arabs have done nothing with their countries except enrich the dictators and kings with oil money... live in squalor while praying for the 9th century to come back. And blowing themselves up in droves.
There are some exceptions.... Dubai has diversified. Bahrain. Some others have been 'moderate' though have funded terror 'privately' or have funded fundamentalism through Madrassas and schools... creating more useless pieces of shit whose only 'education' is to memorize the Koran.
Is Israel our friend? No more than we are theirs. Do they buy influence? Of course. Do we? Of course. It's what nations do. And our track record of wreckage and "You break it you bought it" is a lot worse than we want to admit. Though we keep trying to be a good neighbor and help our fellow global citizens, no matter how many we have to kill to get them to embrace Jeffersonian Democracy for their own good.
But to the first point, the Jews were given no homeland. Like our founding fathers, they wanted a homeland that was theirs. And they took it. Bunker Hill To Cowpens and all that...
