Where most people fail is they don't make sufficient effort, if any at all, to sort out the bullshit. They just repeat it as soon as they read it.

Either because of the warm fuzzy they feel when they see something that validates their own warped view or because of an overwhelming desire to be the first to share the "news" they found.

Sorting takes time. Even the best efforts to sort sometimes fail in the current environment.
