That's what I was thinking, but I couldn't remember. Been a long time, and I was young (maybe 8-10 years old) at the time. My uncle (Grandpa's youngest son) had a 66 or 67 Bronco, like this but a darker blue. They would flip a coin to see who was pulling the boat to go fishing...I was lucky enough to be in the back seat of both of those on many occasions going after walleye on the Missouri River back home in SoDak.

Nope....International used their own engines. The SV series in the light trucks...266, 304, 345 and 392. The confusion comes from the 304 because of the AMC 304.
Edited to add: the diesels for the Scout ll's were built by Nissan

Pretty sure that AMC provided 232 and 258 inline sixes for quite a few years… in the 70’s.

AMC and the IH 304’s were totally different Engines. AMC only provided sixes.

Quite possible. All my binder time is scouts and none of mine had straight 6"s. The only 4 banger I dealt with was the slant......screwy looking setup for sure.

Added some pics cuz....why not. Top one is a 77 SSll. Pretty rare and only had 32000 miles on it. As clean and unmolested as they come. I didn't want to sell it but someone was willing to pay more than I was willing to resist.
Bottom one is 1980...last year....built...abused and sold.
