Close to 20 years ago, at an IDPA match. Marine vet from Vietnam, with his issued 1911. At the line, when he drops the slide on a full mag, it just runs full auto through the mag, finger off the trigger. Repeated for a few mags. I don’t know what broke, but something definitely broke.
Ironically, it was his carry sidearm that morning.
