That’d be a nice gun for most of the non-pig hunting I do in the cedar scrub around here, usually single shot and close range (inside 100-150 yards or so). No bolt cycling noise, but still easy to cycle more rounds if needed.

It’s getting harder and harder to resist buying a Henry Big Boy in 45LC with a factory threaded barrel, and throwing some Woox furniture on there…

Something like this:

UKstan , funny how they cite forced marriage as if that was not the family's doing will happen in UKstan as well , but basicaly plan is come to UK and live of benefits forever .Deport them all back to Afghanistan ,

*side note if you do not want these folks leave them countries be , always without exception you get huge influx of folks from countries your government decides to intervene in .

Yeah, I found that earlier. I didn't see any posts from anyone actually involved or from any actual authority running or overseeing the event so I usually dismiss that the same as I do any couple three schmos here throwing out opinions.

Might be 100% correct, might not.

If you keep digging around you'll find comments from people actually running the show who estimate on any given day as many as 10% of the guns on deck are probably not drop safe (mostly CZs like the one that killed the RO a few years ago) because people are constantly jacking with the "tuning" and generally fkng around with the sear, trigger, etc.

You'll also find other NDs with other guns, some causing injury some not. When it happens people don't want to call 911, don't want to call an ambulance ... want to keep it on the hush hush so they're not embarrassed.

Point being not just someone but an RO at an official event ...

actually DIED from a CZ being dropped ...

and nobody seems to give a shit and people are still buying CZs and running them in competitions.

I may or may not have knowledge of a similar incident involving a *GASP* Glock.

I just found out I own a P320.

Apparently I bought it cheap a year or so ago as a police trade in.

I am now afraid to be in my house with it until I have an EOD buddy come and help me carefully put it in a concrete lined box where it can’t hurt me. Our plan is to hire three hobbits, an elf, a wizard a midget and some king-dude to lower it into fires of Mount Doom which will consume it properly.

Staying at a Motel6 tonite for my safety and hope the cats will be all right.

Fortunately, I’ve never even loaded it. But I am still concerned that it will get up and load itself and shoot me in the foot.

Hey, I saw “Christine.” I know what machines are capable of.

If this is my last post, you will know what happened.

Sirhr

My ladt club was on a military installation. If you experienced a malfunction that prevented unloading, you were required to contact EOD who would take the firearm to a safe location and disassemble/unload.

Had it happen one time. I packed my stuff, went home and cleared it without using C4 and detcord.

I thought so, but I wasn't sure. No adapter there. It was full size model 30AW when I got it. I broke it down and chopped it to 16.5" and threaded it. 5/8x24 didn't really have enough shoulder, so I threaded it twice as long as was needed and made a collar to thread on and contoured it down to the barrel od.
Then I had to drill/tap for the new XS sights. That was exciting. Thankfully, I got a Forster jig just for such jobs in with a bunch of gunsmithing tools I bought at an estate sale.

The no bolt cycling is exactly why I wanted the lever gun. Years ago, I built a 10.5" upper in 300blk for night hunting pigs. Rarely used it for its intended purpose, so I traded it to a relative for a 50cc kids fourwheeler and a ruger american ranch in 300blk.

Did a bunch of work to it. Epoxied the forend to stiffen it up. Built up the grip to make it more vertical. Polished the snot of of the bolt so ykk wouldn't come after me for patent infringement. And installed a timney trigger.

That was a fun, deadly quiet, little night stalker with the haloLR on top of it. Traded it to a buddy that had this marlin because I wanted a little faster rate of fire should I need it. Overall, I'm digging the lever gun. Never saw myself owning a 30-30, but here I am. Originally I wanted one in 357, but I couldn't pass this one up.

The ruger I traded.

One-Word Names

Some benefit requestors may only have a one-word name, or mononym. The mononym may be a given name only, or a family name (last name) only. For example, in Afghanistan, it is common to have a name that consists of a given name only:

  • Laila [Given Name]
For purposes of properly filing benefit requests, data entry in USCIS systems, and issuing secure documents such as Permanent Resident Cards or travel documents, when a benefit requestor has a single name, USCIS considers the single name as the family name. USCIS may insert No Name Given as the given name in this circumstance.

And since this is their official "identification" document the DMV will put Laila "No Name Give" on the license.

If it makes anybody feel any better when I have to create a login to get access to a lot of sites on the web my first name is "Invalid" and the last name is "Entry".

Good health & healing to all of the bionic Terminator mofo members here.

ETA: Posted before I saw the freaky planter.
I'm back to work as of last Thursday. Except I was sick yesterday.

Legs looking closer to normal.
This was last week. Break was at the height of the red dot June 30th. Still not quite full strength especially in my calf. Can't lift right heel yet standing on right leg only.

Yes, 'cept I was pulling a tobacco wagon instead of a spreader. Six plants to a stake. Stay out of the way as the "growdups" were hanging them in the drying barn. Way east Tennessee.

Thank you,
MrSmith

Called pack houses in SC. Mostly kids do the work. Started driving the tractor around nine or so. Moved to cropping at 12. Girls worked at the pack houses handing and stringing. Once you’re big enough you hang the sticks in the pack house.
