Had a couple friends out whose kids had never seen a whaler or caught a fish. Had a nice day on the boat and seen 12 whales and caught a handful of bass and lingcod. I didn't get my phone out in time, but we had a big gray whale swim right up to the bow. The water was clear and they swam under and around us in about 20' of water for about 45min.

One more vintage Gillette arrived today. A nearly perfect 1964 Slim Adjustable. Fellow gave me a price about half of what they are going for in this condition on eBay.

This is my last for a while.....

Hurricane update:

have had 3 bands, since noon or so, of heavy rain. No wind to speak of yet. I hope it continues to weaken.

Thunder, sometimes very powerful, at times and that crackling electrical sound at times.

Say a prayer for us Tarheels.

I’m the meantime. Caught this guy with his pants down and he was pissed he couldn’t eat the ceramic eggView attachment 7390029
So I used to keep chicken and wouldn’t give the black snakes hell unless I caught them in the coop. There are some really large ones out there, 6’ plus. Later, after feeding all the chickens to the local wildlife, not by choice, I heard about a trick from my new baby momma. Her father’s family grew up in Kitty Hawk, true High Tider’s, creative group. Anyway, her uncle used to trap the snakes trying to get their eggs by finding the hole they were using to gain entry. He would put one ceramic egg outside for the snake to eat, then put one on the inside for the snake to eat. In the morning he’d find a trapped snake that couldn’t go in or out. Or so the story goes.... Would have like to try that one!

Its a split window Stingray.

of course it is worth it.

with metal flake black paint of course.

Im no movie guy, but tell me you know that one....

That Wade and Butcher is a good razor. Exceptional steel. A little care and that one is a keeper.

The snake would regurgitate that egg after 2 days. Snakes are crazy animals. It won't pass anything from it's stomach unless it's digested. It will regurg anything it's stomach can't handle.

I wonder how easily he could regurgitate it with a zip-tie or hose clamp around his neck.....just wonderin’.
Not suggesting. Just a science experiment like, Tusko the Elephant.

Well we are supposed to get possibly 70mph here at some point. Rain has been heavy and thunder booming at times. Eye made landfall at Ocean Isle about 30 mins ago or so. It is basically coming straight up I95 and I’m about 5 miles or so from the interstate.

I really hope it weakens. I don’t want to have to run the generator tonight.

50k plus without power in southeastern NC.

We have a flood warning but I’m not worried about the house, we’re up on a good hill and have never had that problem.

Keep wishing I was at the other house 😐
