Re: Futuristic German Shooting Range
Well, hunting in Germany is a upper class sport of some sort. I know some middle class hunters, too. But the majority got enough money to pay for such ranges.
Ulm is not a poor city either. Alot of businessmen are hunters and need something to go to that the common folk can not (pay for).
And judging by the restaurant and shop, the aforementioned Porsche Cayenne driving upper class hunters from south Germany are most welcome in the MSZU
I prefer the straight forward, grounded shooters. I am just a recreational/competitive shooter and I won't pay that much money for something I can have for 3€ for "as-long-as-I-want" on 25/100m, in a less high-tech environment however. As far as I know I could shoot for 15€/hour on 300m near Hamburg.
Anyway, you guys are right...shooting in Germany is not cheap and not as easy as in the states.
I don't know what they project on the movie range if you are a civilian. We are not allowed to shoot human shaped targets, we are not allowed to shoot on the move, from behind cover... the only thing they could simulate for a civilian would be a bulls eye target (paper target would be way cheaper) or a large target that shows 3 times for 2 seconds. Again, would be cheaper to use rotating targets as it is common on dynamic pistol ranges.
