Kicking Ass Somewhere
I sent my scope, (ET6245 FJ) 6x24 ffp Elite Tac with BTR Mil reticule, to Bushnell to exchange it under warranty, I asked them to send me the same scope with a GDMR (ET 6245 FG)reticule in its place, they are willing to do so for $104 which is the difference between the models. I find this a fair deal, agree? This issue I had with the BTR Mil Reticule was the dot in the circle disappearing or very hard to find when I went to max magnification, I have other mil dot ffp scopes from Vortex and there is no problem finding the mildot at max magnification, am really wondering if the G2DMR is thick enough to see at max magnification? From pictures I seen it looks like the lines are the same thickness as the outer BTR Mil lines, which I can see no problem, anyone have any experience with these two?

No experience with the BTR Mil but the G2 reticle rocks. Heavy enough to see at low mag and the center half mil cross is thinner (no spec's on hand) for high precision.

From the pics I've seen of the BTR it looks too congested, no numbers and not as flexible in real world use.

Clearly it is a VERY popular reticle seeing how the have it on their 2 highest end scopes.

The G2DMR is one of the best reticle designs on the market, IMO. It is easy to use on low magnification, the .2 mil hash marks on the outside of the reticle give the appearance of a duplex reticle, so you wont get lost in the fine reticle on low magnification. Reticle is thin enough fro long range use as well, perfect balance. It also has the mil "tree" for hold overs, if one needs.

Not the best pics, but here are a few;
