Ga Precision 6.5 creedmor Crusader... What bullets

Yesterday I was on the GA website trying to go about sending my .308 crusader back for rebareling. Anyhow, I had been thinking about having a 6.5 creedmor built and when I clicked on "rifles ready to ship page" , there it was. A Crusader 6.5 creedmor w/ a 27" bartlein #7 with a 1:8.5 twist. Got it for 3700$. My question is with a 8.5 twist will it run the 140 grainers such as the amax and ESPECIALLY the 140 jlk vld and bergers? I bought 5 boxes of 140 amax loaded ammo for break in and a test drive. Got the redding dies ordered this am as well as brass. What are you guys running??

I have a 6.5 Creedmore. in 8.5 twist. It is a Krieger barrel on a Surgeon Scalpel. It loves the 140 VLD Bergers.

Yeah, 8.5 plenty for the 140-144 class. Unless you are just trying to get that little bit of extra velocity, it's hard to beat the factory stuff. For the price it can't be beat. I figure you will run between 2800-2850, maybe higher with that length of barrel.

I will as soon as I get it. Dustin from GA said it would ship today or tomorrow. Going to put a NF NXS 5.5x22x56 I got a few weeks ago on it. Glad to hear the 140 vlds will do bc I bought the hell out of em. Also got the 140 amaxs, and manufactured 120's just to have a few extra pieces of brass left after breaking it in. Very pumped up about this one! I've been looking for a cheaper solution to lr shooting and other than the rifle and optics, I believe I nailed it.
