Why is it if someone goes to the horse track, wins or loses money, they might have a “problem” and we have support groups to cure them

But if you bet on a company, win or loss, you’re a “savvy investor”?

The difference between gambling and investing is the amount of research you do beforehand.

If you look at base jumping as an example it looks insane at first glance. That said I doubt very many people walk up and jump without a ton of research into all possible variables first.

Investing is really no different.
