Finally received my GAP-10. 18" fluted, CTR stock, Geissele SSA and Titan break.
Gun feels great out of the box. I installed a RISR on the stock. I get a great weld with it and the weight savings is what I was after.
The recoil is less than what I expected. My nine year old even shot it and didn't complain (you will see his shots in the targets).

Rifle shot as expected right out of the box. All targets are pictured except one that I tried some reloads I had from another gun and it did not like them, 2" group for 5 shots.
I set out to the range with only two boxes of FGMM 168gr. I forgot my bull bag and had to improvise. I shoot off the bench and have never tried prone but am in the processs of getting a bipod and trying it.
I need to work on some technique with the ar platform as this is only the second I own. Groups tell the tale of where I need work.
Sorry for the faded pic, the camera was inside and had not adjusted fully to the very humid air.

Whole target. The 3 shots in the top left below the group are my sons shots. The group in the top left are the first shots out including cold bore.

Top right. Still had not adjusted the scope, just wanted to see it group again

Center target. Adjusted the scope but down to much.

Bottom left. Two shots on the left are my son shooting at the same target.

Bottom right. Last group shot, shot five and went back and shot three more. You can see it in the group.

Top right corner. Smallest group of the day and the first. Bottom shot is part of my son's three shots. (Didn't know he was shooting my Targets).

Thanks for looking

Re: GAP-10 and Small Range Report

I have found FGMM ammo to be less than great. I have owned 3 rifles and all three shot FGMM at 1-2 inches. I find the hornady match to be far superior (like 1/2 the group size). I also find that SMK's are very over rated. All 3 of my rifles prefer the Hornady match projectiles over SMK's.

No compliants on the factory ammo, very impressed actually. You seem to have different results than I, with my 5.56 I can not get any Hornady bullits to shoot in it. Actually the FGMM work better than anything I have found (which use the Sierra MK).

This was no load development at all, just wanted to see how the gun would shoot with recommended ammo. I'm sure the rifle will hold 1/2 Moa consistantly with the right load.
If you have any load development info for the 5.56 in a 1-8 twist I'd love to hear it!
