GAP 10 Build or Buy?

Need a littl emore info from you guys in the know. Does GAP work over DPMS LR308 or are thier GAP10 rifles completely proprietary. What I'm saying is if I got a dpms and I want a gap 10 can they take my rifle and rebarrel and rework it or should I just sell it and buy a gap10 that they manufacture from the ground up. Thanks guys

I had my DPMS pattern built by GAP. Sent them the stripped uppers and got this back:

They've done it in the past. However if you got a DPMS rifle (say, 1k bucks) and sent it to them to be re-barreled, new trigger, handguards and maybe a stock that'd probably be an extra 1500 anyways. Might as well just get a GAP 10 if you want one of their rifles.
